Brown County State Park in Nashville

Of the three, the Brown County State Park is by far the largest; in fact, it’s the largest park in all of Indiana. Apart from all the natural beauty your heart and soul can stand, the Park also offers many wonderful family attractions, such as its enormous aquatic center. Peru, Indiana

North of Plainfield, about 100 miles as the crow flies, is the hamlet of Peru, Indiana. It’s the epitome of small towns that represent the heart of the Heartland. That is in itself enough reason to visit, though fans of Cole Porter will say that since Peru is his birthplace, that’s a real plus. Peru has a few other attractions that make it a potentially unforgettable day trip from Plainfield. One is the International Circus Hall of Fame and Museum, a collection of circus memorabilia to beat the band. The other fun tourist destination in Peru, Indiana is the Grissom Air Museum.
